Dr. Alex Joiner 
Economist, ANZ

Biography:

Alex has been an economist with ANZ since 2005, after previously being employed at the Victorian Department of Treasury & Finance. He holds a first class honours degree in economics and a PhD in econometrics and has experience in the macroeconomic analysis of state, national and international economies. His current responsibilities include work in both Macroeconomics & interest rate strategy and Property & financial system analysis teams at ANZ. He is a key contributor to ANZ’s key property market publications including Property Outlook, Commercial Property Outlook and Housing Snapshot.

 
 
 

Gareth Woodham AAPI

Biography:

 
After graduating in 1999 with a Bachelor of Land Economics from the University of Technology, Sydney, Gareth worked as a valuer in Sydney for four years in which time he gained experience valuing a broad range of real-estate. Gareth joined WBP Property Group in 2003 when he moved to Melbourne.

Prior to commencing his career in property valuations, Gareth worked in the credit departments of AGC Finance and Westpac Bank for three years, an experience that has given him valuable insight into the requirements of his lender clients.


With extensive valuation experience gained in both New South Wales and Victoria, Gareth has now returned to Sydney where he is managing WBP’s Sydney Office and valuing both residential and commercial properties in addition to marketing the business to corporate and private clients.  Gareth is a registered valuer in NSW and an associate member of the Australian Property Institute.

 
 
 
 
Chris Lackey AAPI

Biography:
 
 
Chris Lackey is a senior valuer with 25 years’ valuation experience. Chris joined WBP in April 2008 following its merger with Lackey & Associates, where he had held the position of co-director for 11 years. He also currently holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Australian Valuers Institute.

 

Chris has diverse valuation experience including: residential, commercial and industrial property; developments; private valuations for resumption, property settlement and stamp duty purposes; preparation of expert evidence for law purposes; easements; and rental assessments. In addition to this he conducts acquisition, disposal and asset valuations for the Department Of Housing and Department of Commerce.

 

Aside from valuations work, Chris has undertaken presentations covering various property-related topics. Chris represented the Australian Valuers Institute in the review of NSW Valuers Registration Act and is involved in reporting to the Professional Standards Council.

 
 
 
 
Greville Pabst FAPI, FRICS

Biography:
 
 
Greville Pabst is CEO and co-director of WBP Property Group and a Fellow member of both the Australian Property Institute and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.  Greville holds an Associate Diploma of Valuations (RMIT) and a Certificate in Business Studies (RMIT) majoring in real estate. 
 

Greville is an accredited member of the Australian Property Institute’s Presidential Panel as a determining valuer for dispute resolution. In addition to chairing the Australian Property Institute's Membership Admissions Committee, he has also served on the Victorian Division's Professional Standards Committee.

 

Greville works closely with the Mortgage & Finance Industry Association of Australia (MFAA) as a member of the Victorian Council and as an advisor and guest speaker regarding a broad range of valuation and property risk management issues. Greville is regularly called upon by the media and other industry bodies for comment and opinion regarding the property and valuation industries. Greville is a member of the Executive Connection Group (TEC) and maintains membership of a number of industry and professional associations.
